BURTON CUMMINGS THEATRE
This National Historic Site was originally named for its owner,
Corliss Powers Walker, who brought live theatre, vaudeville,
concerts and silent films to the city. The 1907 formal opening
was a gala presentation of Puccini's Madame Butterfly. The theatre
played host to Nellie McClung in the famous mock parliament
where suffregettes debated whether men should be given the vote.
Remaned in honour of Winnipeg musician Burton Cummings, the
2000-seat venue now hosts a variety of performances throughout
the year.

The Centre culturel franco-manitobain
(CCFM) is located at 340 Provencher Boulevard in the heart of
St. Boniface, Manitoba and minutes away from downtown Winnipeg.
The CCFM, with the Centre du patrimoine (Heritage Centre) includes
a restaurant-bar-terrace, an art gallery, a gift boutique, a theatre
with seating for 307 people, a multi-purpose hall with a 560-seat
capacity, as well as several meeting rooms, classrooms, office
space and ample free parking.

The newly renovated Cinematheque is an intimate art film theatre
devoted to screening the very best in Canadian, independent, foreign
and alternative film. Cinamatheque premieres new films as well
as the works of visiting artists and touring film programs. Cinamatheque
