Lift your spirits and enjoy a bird’s eye view of Winnipeg
and its surrounding areas as you drift across the prairie skies.
We fly seven days a week from May 1 thru October 31, weather
permitting. A traditional champagne toast celebrates all of
our flights. The whole experience takes about three to four
hours from the time we meet you until the time we bring you
back to your vehicle.

BISHOP VELYCHKOVSKY MARTYR'S
SHRINE

This is Canada's second martyr's schrine. The beautiful
chapel contains the relics (mortal remains) of the Ukrainian Catholic
Martyr, Blessed Vasyl Velychkovsky. Beautified by Pope John
Paul II, Blessed Vasyl - a Ukrainian Catholic -suffered severe
torture during the soviet regime and died in Winnipeg in 1973.
A museum with artifacts and video depicts the martyr's life story.
Hours are Tues. - Fri. 10:00am - 5:00pm / Sat. 10:00am - 1:00pm.

The largest collection of marine reptile fossils in Canada including
Bruce our prize mosasaur specimen at 13 metres long (43 feet).
The Bruce gallery space has been refurbished with spectacular
artwork and special sound effects which really make it a little
scary!
During the summer season from May to September we run paleo tours
and dig site programs on our fossils fields along the Manitoba
Escarpment near Morden. Notable new finds are made year after
year and we are opening up our new property of 109 acres this
summer 2007 for the first time to great excitement. The thrill
of being around when a new find is being excavated is quite an
experience.
Please note that travel time from Winnipeg (perimeter and Highway
#3) is approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Resting along the eastern shore of Lake Winnipeg - Canada's fifth
largest lake - and next to the historic La Verendrye Trail, are
powdery white sand beaches and grass-topped dunes that make this
one of the top beaches in North America. The dunes reach as high
as 8m /30ft. It is an excellent place to swim, wind surf or hike,
and offers three excellent self-guided walks: Spirit Rock Trail,
Wild Wings Trail and the Ancient Beach Trail.

PRAIRIE DOG CENTRAL RAILWAYS

The Prairie Dog Central Railway operates a fully restored 1900-era
vintage train with five wooden coaches pulled by either a 1882
steam locomotive or a 1950s vintage GP9 diesel. A three-hour
round trip on the Prairie Dog Central Railway includes station
stops at Grosse Ilse and Warren, where there are local country
vendors with home baking, produce and handicrafts. The Freight
Shed offers souveniers and concession items.

Sunday trips from May to September.
Special excursion and dinner charters available upon request.

twice a day seven days a week from May to October, weather permitting.
Your Hot Air Balloon adventure begins when you meet your Pilot
